Isomer was a substantial
restoration including new stem in English oak, new timbers
and 3 steel bulkheads fitted between the engine beds for extra
strength when the boat is craned. Replaced rotten planking,
stripped and re-varnished between the waterline and gunwale.
New floor bearers throughout, new deck beams and a complete
new deck in Brazilian mahogany was laid. The cabin sides and
windows completely renewed along with the roof. The internal
of the boat was also completely refitted throughout with bunks,
storage, galley. The aft cockpit has seats on each side and
the forward cockpit has seats for the helmsman and passenger.
The internal sides are laid in the traditional way with a
decorative bead on each plank. The floorboards are all new
in American white oak. The entire boat except the roof which
is painted, was varnished. |
