Victorian 52ft Saloon Steam Launch.

SL Eclipse is a beautiful Victorian Steam launch; lovingly cared for by her current owner and Stanley & Thomas. She was brought into Nicholas boatyard in the early eighties as a bare hull and the woodwork was restored by Mark Stanley, prior to the formation of Stanley & Thomas. The boat has an elegant clipper bow and counter stern, with a double skinned teak on oak hull with rich West African mahogany cabin. Lune Valley water tube boiler and 4 ½ + 9 x 6 fully condensing compound steam engine. Eclipse still plies her trade as a hospitality launch; she is capable of seating 8 guests for a silver service luncheon or dinner or up to 12 guests for a buffet.
